Never lose the skepticism on ET......good advice for all.

Appreciate those who post freely and donate their time without looking for anything more than a thanks.

ET is always a good "distraction" during the trading day.

5 yrs ago there were alot of decent traders posting here,slowly they dropped off,it was the lack of useful posts and the increase of slackers that drove them out,you wanted to know everyones size and how much they made when you 1st came here, that is rude,it was mentioned, you were told it would start fights,it did ,you acknowledged it ,now you are asking again ..please treat others as you would yourself

In my journal, I have shared way way more about my own trading than what I have asked anyone else.

I fail to see what is wrong about asking if someone is profitable or not or how many cars he is trading! In a bank or a trading firm, then also everyone knows everyone's else PL. Even on ET, we have a P/L thread. I fail to see why it is a problem asking anonymous alias if they are profitable or not. Rather as I said, I think it helps in separating wheat from chaff.
 
If you YouTube KTM limited edition and Ducati 1198s, you'll come up on a video of the loft I use to live in. I took no offense, I'm financially comfortable. But want to leave something for my kids in terms of a entity that is at the forefront of quant/algo trading. I can only develop those algos based on my experience with markets and inefficiencies. Artificial intelligence tries to be in sync with the market and all it's perturbations. I see evidence of it from watching price action.

Humility and discipline are closely related and I have found they are both crucial in this business

i couldnt find the reference ,but when people start showing size and profits, it becomes a pissing match and all kinds of hecklers come out of the wood work,then 5 pages of 2 guys trading barbs,this happened before and pointed out to you,ruins the thread, ideally it would be about what we see in the es ,sharing those tells , and making everyone a more knowledgeable reader of the market..without the distractions
