do you have a target

Except for 40.00 point target on half of my contracts for long term trading, I switch to using weekly bar charts, but I have no target and I leave my Protective Stop at breakeven GTC. I will either be stopped out at breakeven or can be in the trade a long time, months even.

markets asleep..

I wouldnt expect too much of anything.. till enough shorts build up playing the fiscal cliff.

Treasury action this afternoon was downright weird--telegraphing an equity reversal from about 2:00p (EDT) on. A flush to 1400 on Monday would be elegant, and set up one doozy of a reversal into opex. But, somehow, I don't think we're gonna get it.

No flush, no doozy. Just mush.

Maybe that Treasury action wasn't so weird after all. Check out this weekend's planned activity at the IMF's Tokyo jamboree...

My guess is that we've see the pre-opex low.

Quote from DanS:

Done! Equity went under minimum required to continue trading. Not sure what I'll do. I just can't figure out why I couldn't get it.
Guess I'll see if I can find a $15-20 an hour job. Not sure If I will ever be back.

If you are tenacious enough to be a competent retail trader you have 3X the required tenacity to be successful at anything. There are plenty of other ways to make money and I'd say nearly ALL of them are easier.

Trading is a business like any other... it has it's pluses and minuses. Don't get hung up thinking there is only one avenue to personal happiness/success.

I'll throw this in... the deeper I go into my "journey" as a trader the less I care about having money. Ain't life a bitch!

Far be it from me to make any predictions here, but as "Church Lady" used to say: "Isn't that special."
