if you are good in options, why not increase your size for those? sometimes i wished i had stuck to swing trading stocks and ETFS and not ventured into futures at all! (unfortunately damage was done.. lol)

Not the correct advice for me! Haha man I have a tendency to bet way too big in actuality on the options. I have a pretty high win rate roughly (3.5-4:1) but still end up losing. I am still going to keep focusing on options I just wanted to check out futures before I decided options is my niche.

I am working on a system in my spare time that will hopefully help with my option trading.

But I think there are a few lessons that keep slapping me in the face yet I still haven't perfected them. So basically the options are a work in progress. I just need to work on reducing my losses by a lot. I am awful about cutting a loser...and when I bet big that wipes me out almost. Its a work in progress about to come up with some more rules for myself.

Just wanted to check out futures though man.

Any input for a newbie?

I started with ES and learned the hard way that it is one of the toughest contracts to trade. A 30 year veteran in the markets turned me on to US which is the 30 year treasury bond contract. Much more tame and is now my primary vehicle. I'd suggest trying it first and DO NOT use real funds in futures until you have developed a system of set-ups with PROVEN profits for a great length of time.

All the best!

Congrats to any trend followers today who caught this move.

Wish all channel breakouts were as smooth as this one.

99% of the time it just chops at the area undecided what to do making you think its a breakout or resistance

1% is like the chart you posted

If I recall correctly, my original verbiage was:

"So guys, here is the chart.

Looks like an ABC corrective wave, shaped like a declining wedge.

Market sentiment is getting bearish....."

Where did I mention a "channel breakout"?
