Quote from mastacoli71:

never understood why some feel compelled to make predictions like this

pre·dict

Verb: Say or estimate that (a specified thing) will happen in the future or will be a consequence of something.

Synonyms: foretell - prophesy - prognosticate - forecast - presage

In the strictest sense of the word, by trading, you must predict.... So you are saying that, you don't understand why you are trading?

The 'prediction' I made allowed me to make a couple hundred on the long side last night. I went long around 1336 and got out around 1339 on the last trade I could make. I can always be right or wrong... only part of the equation man.

trade   /treɪd/ [treyd], verb, trad·ed, trad·ing, adjective, noun.

1. the act or process of buying, selling, or exchanging commodities.

Predicting is saying you believe something will happen. Trading is taking action on that belief.

So had you said "It looks like the market will rally tomorrow, so I am planning to buy at 36," you would have been taking action on your prediction. When you placed the trade, posting your entry would validate that you were in fact acting on what you believed would happen. To come on the next day and you say what you did does not give credibility to your prediction.

Just some friendly advice. :)
