Fixed :p

O man, I laughed so hard and I am still laughing :)

Thanks for the laugh on an especially tough day. My day in fx was a tough day today. I didn't lose much something like 60$, but I missed a huge move in my favor that would have netted me 1400$ +.

I was short 100k Euro from 1.28 and covered at 1.2792. After covering, I put on a sell order at 1.28 again and left the desk, sure that it will get hit. I was of the view that it will go down and I will be able to cover somewhere around 1.27 or so. When I came back price was at 1.266, but guess what - I never got filled at 1.28. 1400$ easy without any heat on the trade went without me!

This was some of the easiest money I missed today and I was pissed at myself for 'losing my position' - Jesse Livermore way!

Those are so tough to swallow at times. The worst is when I am waiting patiently for a setup, and then nature calls or something and I literally CAN'T keep my eyes in front of the screen. Sure enough the entry hits while I'm gone :)

Quote from Lawrence Chan:

using $tick or other custom tick breadths can tell you if a wave of buying is done with a lot of effort (extreme positve $tick prints) or a easy pop (mildly positive $tick print) in the underlying components.

that compensate the weaknesses of monitoring just ES or SPY traded volume.

Interesting LC -- can you state what might be a general weakness of monitoring just the ES/SPY volume? And do you watch both ES and SPY volume? The volume on SPY at 12:38pm is attention-grabbing, not so much on ES. Interesting that the bid/ask delta readings are so different also between the two.

Also, have you ever used the S&P 500 only TICK, instead of the more broad NYSE TICK?

I never expected market to come back all up...anyways short 1281.

Downgrade of 1 country might not have much impact, but d/gs of least 2 countries (including France), then no way we are not going to 1265 or below

Stop 1288, target open

Edit: This trade is not a technical play for me, its a fundamental play for me

This doesn't make sense to me, eventually I might be correct but at the moment I will have to accept that I am wrong.

Out at 1281.5.
