Quote from JoshDance:

At least you were profitable. I had a bullish bias; two losing trades on the way down. Then I'm thinking perhaps gap fill to 78, so I short after a bounce. I can not win playing the game this way. It's so naive that it's laughable. I'm much better than this too; here's to having a great Friday and being in TUNE with the market.

Agree with Bigsnack...hang in there. This is a mental game.

It's funny how I can lose several trades and be content because they were ACCEPTABLE RISKS. On the other hand, I grind my teeth and obsess on a stupid trade that broke my rules. The dollar amount lost is usually not the source, but the reason.

Losing trades are part of it and acceptable. Stupid and Losing really kicks my ass!!

spx hasnt traded here in rth allowing bigs to build a short near top without triggering stops in stocks, maybe tomorrow..a biased opinion..could be wrong

you mean without triggering buy stops on stocks?

that's a really interesting theory...and could explain e.o.d activity over the past two sessions.

wonder if it's true...

until about 15 minutes ago, i would have said you were nuts.

now i'm not so sure.

post mortem on the day, and I'm seeing, once again, heavy and determined buying into the close. frankly, i'm a bit thunderstruck.

perhaps we'll get that gap-filling pullback first--maybe tomorrow--but i'm seeing precious little to foreshadow such an event. in any event, i don't think i'd want to be short this.

yet

or profit target sell orders, mentioned it here before ,only guessing but when markets are thin, lower volume, they can short under the target and get lion's share before drop
