Its hard to say whether ES followed EUR or EUR followed ES. I was short Euro and was looking at both euro and ES - both moved simultaneously. I couldn't find any news though at that time - so not sure what was behind that spike. Spike lasted for 10 minutes but was enough to cause me a 400$ loss
