One more question though trvl -- you watch IYF, but do you also keep an eye on techs as well, or basic materials like IYM? In other words, what makes finnies so special (besides the fact that it's a large sector)? You also mentioned dtx (dow transports?), why this?

I'm seeking to expand my overall market knowledge and awareness, hopefully without getting bogged down too much.

67 was a minor VPOC in yesterday's distribution. Just noticed that we stopped at 66.75 earlier; this may be the hurdle, and if we jump it, here comes 72, and the top of the channel line.

Buy limit 63

Josh...I should caveat that I use them for glances and not trade decisions. They may give me pause or confirm or in some cases make me re-look the bigger picture, but they NEVER cause me to abandon legit signals. My point is that it can be noise if you let it and I do not like noise. It causes me to second guess or hesitate on a legit signal.

I watch trans, indu, comp, bonds, finnies, cl, gold and silver. I pay attention to comp, trans, indu, and finnies for divergences if they exist.

I try and keep it very simple...those are just some things I have watched over the years.

edit: as of right now, majors are up and eur is sitting on frustrated support. caution

2nd edit: I also keep eur/usd handy....it is a big driver.

Good to know Trvl, I like the simplicity of basically watching one market, but I would like a little more breadth as well; striking a balance could be tricky, but like you I will try to keep the expansion from distracting me from my focus.
