or the index is just
IB: VIX from CBOE
DTN: VIX.XO
esignal: $VIX
yahoo: ^VIX :)

something new I'm adding into strats - not sure yet - like to keep it simple, adding it means removing something else.

Thanks :)

Why remove stuff when you are adding stuff to your strats ? I guess to avoid curve-fitting and to not increase degrees of freedom ?

Hunted down. Stopped 127125.

Not everybody is doing basket weaving waiting for something to happen.

So I thought I would tell you this was a very poor trade I made for 2 reasons. 1. I did not have to take the trade. In fact,it flew in the face of my current trading entry points. 2. It was a poor entry price ,because I was not watching. But, it would have still been a stop loss anyway.

These were technical mistakes and psychologically it made me mad ,because I had a 'set goal' for the week and I did something I did not have to do.

The reason I am typing this is to vent my anger and realize it is over .

My next trade will be 'on track' even if it is a loss as I cannot control the outcome, but i will control the risk.

Now back to marbles or crochet:D

Many schools have holiday break til the end of this week.

Many traders have their holiday vacation / break til the end of this week because of that.

that set goal can be an anchor or an inflator for your head, either way it's not good, nice to plan but you are working for the market, not the other way around, and have to take what it gives you

the professionals run this market..

got a series7,,don't even try posting here

i'm on your game
let's keep the personal stuff off to the side and just report on es,a big part of trading is turning off emotions, injecting it into the thread means you haven't turned yours off,do that please, don't want you waking up anyone else,it's like no talking in church, let er rip when you get to the bar

long 1271

out 1272, it reached 1273.75, I had an offer at 1274.25, don't want to be in this long trade now - it hasn't displayed the kind of bullish tinge that I was expecting here.

Well, -2 points for the day.

In all seriousness Macho, it's all good, thanks for candidly sharing, it mirrors how I feel many times. I have fought the urge to trade all day, but honestly I have not seen any "must takes" and besides that, I am not quite in tune with this market. Maybe something will happen in the next 45 minutes but if I must, I will just wait until tomorrow. It's very hard to do, even with my basket weaving to keep me entertained.
