Quote from Laissez Faire:

Is anyone expecting "holiday" mode anytime soon? Already there?

I looked at the end of 2011, from this date up until the 23rd and the average RTH range was actually 18 points. The largest range was 31,50 points and the smallest 10,5 points.

Larger than normal political / global economic events at play....this may be an anomaly year for that particular statistic.

Yes, I don`t recall what the political agenda was last year this time, but you`re expecting larger swings and volatility then?

My point was that contrary to what I expected, there was good ranges all the way into the holiday last year.

Quite frankly, I`m disappointed by the volatility in light of the fiscal talks. There`s been a few good days, but now there`s what appears to be another inside day at 8,5 points.

Quote from Rickshaw Man:

Im sure the jobs # will be fine. Markets need to push higher so Wall Street can pay themselves massive bonus. Its just the way it is.

Thanks for the chart.

you might prove to be correct but price action today has not been a one-way non-stop mover. So, not sure if tomorrow it will go up a lot. At least till now, it has not been able to break yesterday's high also.

Consolidation before the move. Good luck!
