I'll be using Tradestation as a broker. The daytrading margin on the DAX is about 10K/US per-contract (10% of underlying contract).

DAX pts. * Euro per-pt * exchange rate

3500*25*1.16 = 101,500 * .1 = 10,150

Finished the day at +15.50 pts per contract for 10 ES... In several separate SHORT positions when the drop hit which helped for a good day. :)

Chris:
Congratulations on a good day. Its great that you are able to pull out a few points on a day like this. I happen to be more interested in losers than winners just now. Can you share with me what your biggest losing trade was? Normally I am trading the DAX where my largest loser was 2.5 on 5 contracts. By the way, when I do trade the ES, I use Trin, Tick, NYSE Advancing Issues, and standard floor pivots (S/R). I used to use oscillators as well, but found that too much to keep track of. Recently I have stopped trading that contract because (IMO) it got too noisy. I appreciate any comment you might have. Regards, Steve46

dbphoenix,

thanks. i didn't mean having a mentor as in trading someone else's system at all. i meant to be able to pick that person's brain, understand the thought process, subtle things that you see but inexpressible, ya know what i mean? :)

trading successfully is something you have to figure out on your own, fortunately ;)).
