Yeah, right.
After the "dot.com" bust, many lost 83-97% of their capital. Not everyone "has the stomach" for that.
Another reason why you shouldn't put all the eggs in one basket.

Thank you for posting about this guru,This is from a private trading chatroom where someone who diligently followed Ernie Chan, found that Ernie started cheating after having a large drawdown this year.
At https://qtscm.com/, Ernie was initially posting 59% return for 2021 and reasonable returns till March 2022:

Then in April 2022 he had a large 30% drawdown and to mitigate it, he retroactively swapped previous returns, dividing everything by 2:

Not a wipe out like James Cordier, but now another non-trustworthy trading authority and book writer.

Hello The Dawn,It's understandable that the strategy is now starting to experience drawdowns due to the increase in volatility in the market.
Hello The Dawn,
I am not buying that old lame excuse any more "drawdowns due to the increase in volatility in the market".
Volatility can be in favor of the Bears or the Bulls. Both ways is perfect way to make money.
Hello TheDawn,It's obvious that's not the strategy that he has. The one that he has does experience drawdowns when the volatility is increased.
Thank you for posting about this guru,
Who is James Cordier? And can you please share what happen to him?
Thank you
Hello TheDawn,
lol, why in the world would he have a strategy that experience drawdowns when volatility is increased?
When volatility is increased (i.e., 2020, 2008) that when it is time to make ALOT of money, not Lose ALOT of money.
Thank you overnight.
Lol, it gets so cringeworthy when he talks about bass fishing, BBQ sauce and the French Riviera.
