Erin Burnett should be a housewife in NJ, taking her kids to ball practice

Quote from muller:

Just how miss-informed as a financial journalist can you get.

Seriously, you have no idea how overboard she went on the tax when it first came out.

I thought for sure that someone upstairs was going to give her the boot for her anti-trader spiel, it was that over the top.

Cramer and CNBC do serve an important function. They are targeting the average novice investor. Sylvan can not talk to these newbies.

It does not make sense to have someone like Sylvan and Cramer on the show together. Cramer an entertainer can not have a discussion with someone like Sylvan. They do not speak the same language.

I feel sorry for Cramer, he gets more than his share of humiliation on TV.

I am surprised that people even know the names of these TV hosts. To me they are just a mouthpiece.

Yea, Ok whatever pal!

Facts are the show is obviously slanted, Erin is a terrible journalists, in fact she is not one. She is only there because she can read a teleprompter, kind of like obama!

Thank you for proving my point.

Cramer at best is a showman. He causes the scrutiny. He likes it. He would never feel sorry for you. He gives bad trade advice for a living. He supports some of the real crooks on wall street. This is his act.

That presumes that he would have been a frequent or recurring guest. My guess is that he had a dislike for the network prior to appearing on the segment and just used his 2 minute allotment to take a few shots and get on with it. He also knew there was nowhere near enough time to actually explain the minute details of the transaction, nor would anyone really understand what he was saying anyway.

True.

Quote from jprad:

You've obviously missed her transaction tax rants.

Although Haynes had a massively senior moment this morning by confusing John Paulson with Hank, I happen to like the subtle jabs he tosses her way every now and then.

Every one of them go completely over her head, every time.

True.
Erin is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Last week, she sat idly by while listening to GOP Senator Jim Inhofe from Oklahoma spout his typically politically biased crap about how Obama has been gutting the military.

I guess Inhofe is clueless as to the fact that the FY-2011 DoD Budget is now over $700 Billion for the first time ever, and that we are spending $150 billion on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan; which is just 10% shy of the peak during Bush's troop surge in 2007.

Her continual spouting off in regards to the transaction tax is another great example of how she is a "tool" and has not one single original thought in her head.

She can only read from a teleprompter.
Period.
