In this case, the odds are clearly otherwise. This room, the Elite Trader forum, has a disproportionate number of people who :

a. Are male.
b. Are racially insensitive.
c. Believe in no gun control.
d. Hate their government.
e. Hold onto a variety of conspiracy theories.
f. Insist on shorting US markets nonstop since 2010.
g. Tout the next great stock market crash is occuring imminently
( rolling over this call every quarter for years ).
h. Believe Gold is the best investment.

Given that this is a trading forum, and majority opinion on here about stock markets has been dead wrong almost every time for 4 solid years, I hardly think good opinions on social policy eminate from this source.

However, if you have a country right next door, that has 33 million people who experience FAR LESS crime and racial tension then your country does, perhaps a smarter man might want to know why. But as I said before, if you enjoy crime and the excitement of it all, don't mind playing Russian roulette with your loved ones and friends, its your choice. Just don't pretend that you didn't have a choice.

A. male, yes. But then so is the majority of this website.
B. Racially insensitive. Or you're overly sensitive. Evidence suggests the latter.
C. Believe in no gun control. We believe in certain aspects of gun control. We just have this pesky ol' thing we call the US Constitution. It allows us certain rights. If you come here trying to attack that, then what do you expect? You're in the wrong.
D. Hate their government. We believe the government exists to serve the people, not the other way around. We are not alone in this thinking. Given Congress approval rates and even the PResident's, I'd say that over half the country right now despises their government.
E. Hold to a variety of conspiracy theories. There are a few here, but no more than any other political forum.
F. Insist on shorting US markets nonstop since 2010. Can you link to the people in this political forum making posts that short US markets? Are there all that many? Or are you talking about the broader Elitetrader site? Because if it's the latter, I'd argue that traders everywhere have been doing that and it has nothing to do with any argument on this forum or political stance. Besides, I've seen your market posts in the trading forum. They're not exactly prime time, you know.
