Eric Holder vows to press on with civil rights inquiry, promises "TRUTH"

Quote from fhl:

You can't handle the truth! Holder, we live in a world that has neighborhoods, and those neighborhoods have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, al sharpton? Zimmerman had a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Martin and you curse white people. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that Martin's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And Zimmerman's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives! You don't want the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want Zimmerman in that neighborhoodl. You need Zimmerman in that neighborhood. He uses words like "honor", "code", "loyalty". He uses these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. Zimmerman has neither the time nor the inclination to explain himself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that he provides, and then questions the manner in which he provides it! Zimmerman would rather you just said "thank you", and went on your way. Otherwise, Zimmerman suggests you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, Zimmerman doesn't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
Lol, nice.

Great post. It's too bad the networks won't be picking it up and broadcasting it to the nation.

that was great...

Actually, I think you can't handle the truth. Several democratic countries provide a better model for safe neighborhoods then most of the US does. The stats don't lie.

The concept that Zimmerman saves lives is a joke. Actually, he ended one life unnecessarily by his actions. I don't welcome
his actions, I condemn them on no uncertain terms. The concept that Martin's death saved lives is sick; its speculative and absurd.

I feel lucky that I live in a neighborhood that says by law that Zimmerman cannot legally carry a weapon. Period. Its a crime to even have that weapon on his person, never mind patrol the area and confronting any stranger he thinks is a danger to society. A licensed on-the-job cop is the only way. And somehow my neighborhood is less violent.

Wow, think of it, a country of 33 million people right next to the US and we as a country disagree strongly with your vision. That's reality, like it or not. Can you respect that there are many people who believe your vision is a sad state of affairs ?

I don't give a damn what you think of my opinion. It may be too late for you, but I believe America is divided now on this issue and there are many people who disagree with you.

Quote from TGregg:

Obviously Holder is a racist of the highest order, and a fine example of obama's "leadership".

I'd think it was a healthier wager that you are a racist then Holder. Just calling them as I see them. Again. could you clarify if you have ever been a member of a white supremetist group ?

It's not true that if you restrict the right to bear arms, you have a safer society. Take Britain for instance where gun control is famously quite restricted and yet, violent crime ranging from auto theft to burglaries is higher in the UK than in the USA. We can therefore surmise that the act of carrying arms has a discernible effect in deterring crime.

Calling it how you see it, eh? You know, if you're the only one in the room of people who sees things a particular way and everyone else thinks you aren't in touch with reality, the odds are they're right.

The thug, Eric Holder, wants you to run if you are out of your home and you feel threatened.
All the little thugs all over the USA are going to have a great time if this becomes law.
