Is this the model where the tilt is adjustable or fixed? I'm in Chicago and interested..

It is the older model so it is adjustable. Send me a pm, I would be more than happy to show it to u.

You need to read the reviews. The stand I am selling has the adjustable mounts.

Fair value is $215

Alright. I will go buy the Tyke Supply stands. Adjustable or not, it seems Tyke Supply stands are better in quality, and brand new one's can be had from $99. A little more for stands with more bells and whistles.

Good luck.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good stand if it fits your monitors, January 30, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I bought this stand based on reviews and the relative lower cost. What I did not appreciate was that while the reviews are correct, that it is very well built, it is not very adjustable. My mix of two sizes of monitors (18.5 X 15 and 21.5 X 13)could not be accomodated without a large gap between the two 18.5 X 15 monitors. The 21.5 X 13 monitors are really too wide for it. They fit only when pushed back and not angled either side to side or down.

The issue here is that there is no way to adjust the spacing horizontally between the monitors - that is fixed"

It's bent sheet metal from China. Cost to produce = close to nil. Market bears whatever someone will pay.

Do they assume that if you're in the market for one then you're rich because you have four monitors? There's no legitimate way to validate the cost of these things at $300, $200, $100, etc. Fair price would be $25 but i guess I could pay $40. Any more then that is just not fair business practice IMO.
