equity traders making over 100k

APPRECIATE ALL THE POSTS. I AM BASICALLY REFERRING TO SCALPERS/DAYTRDAERS.some daytraders mix scalping with some intraday swings such as myself. i think its best to ask what traders make over 100k per year that have been trading for over 5 years. this way we boil it down to experienced traders who do it for a living as opposed to traders that may only be in the game for a year or 2. my discipline requires me to take the quick money and run. whenever i stick around to squeeze out another 100 bucks i take a hit and give back my easy gains.thats just me though. i trade horribly from 10:30-1:30 which i understand is not a good time to trade anyway.

Yes. Averaging about 190 per year for the last 6 years. I use whatever method is working. Mostly scalping. Rarely do I take an overnight position.

Of course it changes, idiot - note the dates and additional strategies. BTW, there is capital behind these strategies currently.
Can you match the performance???
I was referring to this backtest report you posted vs the one above. So 4 years became 3 years and 76% accuracy became 96% accuracy? Keep dreaming & running your backtests..

ZTrader888,

You didn't pick up on my sarcasm. Backtest reports are completely meaningless to this discussion. The OP is referring to ACTUAL trades, get back to us when you've done some.

I would respectfully disagree that it was posed as a fair question. A simple dollar amount is meaningless without context. I've made over 100k in the last three months but if you don't know how much capital was used, how much risk taken, and a long term time frame of consistent results it is completely meaningless.

The question needs to be posed with more specifics and what exactly the OP is trying to find out. What are his experience level, capital, goals, etc?

I was thinking the same thing.

Two years of live trading this particular portfolio. Slippage was actually better than in backtested reports.

Again, where's your performance? In the toilet, methinks.
