Equities clearing

On behalf of a friend, I'm soliciting ideas on equities clearing firms that are NOT Penson. It's a smallish hedge fund.

Ameritrade was clearing securities decades before they were a discount brokerage (Ceres).

I think I actually talked to them when I was trading equities way back when.

I think also Fidelity, Schwab, and TradeStation are basically all self-clearing.
