You've got to be extremely specialized to know what you're looking for.
It's not like a kid with an Ehow search can do that. These guys are trained.
 
Well that's some fucking BS. As if I didn't have enough shit on my plate to worry about. It always made me edgy that private companies ran the credit score industry...dunno if the government would do any better, but I haven't heard of many hacks to say, the IRS. But then again, why would they bother telling us if they were.

Extremely specialized: True that not just anybody can use the PRISM app. That would be either the tens of thousands of their employees with a few weeks of training or the hackers that have proven they have mastered the PRISM app, they usually share their exploits to their trusted circle. . As time rolls by they are certainly more & more able to do this.

Of course the better hackers are going to figure out how to use the back doors the NSA installed. You also have abuses by the employees of the NSA. Plenty have been caught doing their own rouge spying. They laugh about it - calling it 'love intelligence' - which is highly illegal yet they do this at work - imagine what they may do behind closed doors? Work in private industry and get caught spying on people and your fired on the spot & lead out by security. Point is the NSA prism does not prevent security threats, it never has - not even once, it is the security threat.

But, if I may ask....who gave them the power to do that? It's rhetorical, you don't have to answer.

Unknowingly, and completely ignorant, mom and pop around the country gave their consent.

I'm not against it in any way, if you're not looking for CP or are a potential terrorist it doesn't apply to you. Sure, big brother has gone a bit too far, but I'd rather them spy on my internet history than have my sister/daughter/niece become a sexual assault victim. It's up to them to do what's right, I've consented to it and I know exactly what it entails. The lesser of two evils.

The NSA has no role whatsoever in on-line perverts/predators. Your local police will handle that, in some cases the FBI may get involved. They will follow the law and get a court order to retrieve the suspects computer, & the ISP & phone company data. Its up to the computer users to have a bit of street or more like on-line smarts, kids need to be taught at home what they are not permitted to do. Crime has not dropped after the NSA spying. The best & really the only defense is to teach the vulnerable on what is dangerous in the web world. If they are to young/old to comprehend pull the plug.

The highest courts in the U.S. ruled that the NSA spying as illegal/unconstitutional. Having grown up in a free country I not only value but demand my freedom & privacy. The most oppressive regimes of all times will envy the NSA's dragnet/surveillance state - like North Korea or Berlin in post WW2 under the Stasi.

This article says that "there was no evidence of a breach into its core consumer or commercial credit reporting databases."

So who were the 144 million accounts that were stolen you lying douche bags !

PS:They released this during the biggest Hurricane ever in order to bury the story.
