you don't gain equality by taxing those who work for a living. you eliminate the income tax. I realize the vast majority of you sides low info voters do not pay income tax but they should have the patriotic desire to say that taxing all but the .05 percent to the country increase wealth inequality.

if you wish to create more equality cease taxing all but the top. .05 percent and eliminate the inheritance tax too so over time non elite families can start to keep some assets which they can use to buy the politicians as well.

One can never count on the republican mind to ever discuss the rigging of the US system to favor the rich. And if ever this topic were to be brought up, the republican mind will always cite some messed up dictatorship-like ruled country as being the alternative to what's currently in place.

I'm not too familiar with the social contract to be honest jem . I do understand that we "the people"only allow the government to manage public services etc .

The government takes more and more power a little bit at a time... not fast enough to cause the hoi polloi to rise up in protest to stop them. Eventually the government acquires total power and the people query, "WTF happened to our rights and freedoms"?
