EOD traders only journal

I went ahead and withdrew funds from everything but my equity account, and everything is going into that equity account. I see no reason to trade anything else. I get a better view of equities with my approach than any other product. I've confirmed that with some additional analysis. I also want markets that close. My personality and 24 hour markets are not a good mix.

I am now working on some simple pattern recognition code so that I can further filter my symbols I end up with after ranking the sectors and screening within the sectors for good candidates. So basically the ACD gives me the candidates and now I'm working to replicate what I look for when I look at charts with the end goal of not looking at charts anymore. My first single stock positions are short CTL and CALA a few days ago and CVX today. Long MPC and XL. MPC is in case energies rebound I think it is one that will outperform. Also short XOP and long XLF both from a few days ago.
 
Also I know the buzz on ET is that market is topped etc...My numbers simply don't agree with that. I know my numbers are not magic or anything but they are objective, and objectively by mine and just about any other measure this is a very strong market making a pullback. Minus energy of course. Financial ratio is VERY high right now.
 
I am liking the speed of signals with how I am running things now. I believe it will result in a trade frequency closer to what is recommended by the real pros on here, such as globalarbtrader. I have done a bunch more analysis and don't think I have enough of an edge in stock selection to make up for the increase in volatility so I think I will be shifting to pure sector trading. Right now I am holding the XOP short and think I will enter long GDX and XLI tomorrow.
 
Also big picture I think we will see more tech selling. Long YM is still the way to go IMO for index traders. New highs to come except for tech stocks.

Current positions are short xop and xlu, and long gdx. Of the single stock positions I am still only in the CVX short. I decided against the XLI long today. Didn't like how it looked to be breaking down the first day of month range. Frequency of trades should be slowing way down with these positions.
 
I added some funds this weekend. Still working on the pattern recognition code, should be done in a day or two. Really looking forward to doing some data analysis on it.

There hasn't been much to talk about because I got my parameters dialed on to a nice trading speed. I did take profit on XOP and switch to long on some OIH names a few days ago. I'm probably not going to be posting here much anymore because I'm currently finalizing the details of a partnership that is going to be using a lot of what I have talked about.
