EOD Data, 3 to 10 day holding period

Does anyone here trade mechanically on EOD data with a 3 to 10 day holding period?

One of my swing systems holds max 10 days. Min 1 day since it looks for very high ATR.

That's a fairly emotional reply.

The point of my post was to see if anything stuck to the wall on this timeframe. So often it's day trading or long term trend following. What's in between?

So I gather... What does that mean though?

Pushing the discussion on a bit, for Daytrading systems, one can look to Volatility Breakout for inspiration. For Long term trend following, Double Moving Average Crossover works pretty well, if applied to a diversified portfolio of futures. But what does a mechanical swing trade look like? In other words, what sort of set ups, triggers and exits are typical? What sort of statistics do these systems generate?

If anyone can point me in the direction to find out more on these types of systems, I'd be much obliged.
