Truly said! Trader Vic makes things sound so simple that you miss a lot of it the first, second and third times you read him.

you might read kserra's journal. he uses a moving avg. system.
i would wait until the candle closes. if it is too choppy you might use a longer time frame.

I did some backtesting on 30min
crossover of 8 and 21 SMA produce profits but after commissions and slippage you are flat so you cannot use it alone.
