i'm trying out the ensign software and cant seem to figure out how to zoom out to more bars in a given time frame, i can only drag the chart backwards.

for example, i can see nov 21 in the 1-min chart but want to see like 3 days worth of 1-min chart, what do i need to setup or press?

I have not used Ensign, but this is very common
function with every charting plateform.

Are there circles with + and - sign insid them, if
you click them will zoom in and out.

Even with this you might not be able to do that,
because most real time charting for intraday time
frame can not compress the candles enough to see
three days of 1min in one window.

You will be able to see them on end of day charts
like prophetfinance, bigcharts,...

Try medved quotetracker for free , they have both
that can be accessed within QT software

Try altering the bar spacing...I tend to use "4". The bar spacing tool should be in the toolbar, or you can right-click on the chart, select properties, and it's in there. If you use candles, the candle width is in Set-Up->Charts->Candlesticks (and you can change the default bar spacing for all new charts in Set-Up->Charts->Chart).

Bar spacing is also known as "compress/expand bars". :)
 
thanks... i was able to change the size of the bars. though i thought there would be a more sophisitcated zoom out feature like other software where you can keep zooming in or out as you wish.

also, i'm still testing the software and downloaded data from the ensign internet service part, but all data i got for 1-min charts were just upto nov 20 or nov 19. do they only provide 1 day downloads and not previous days?

if so where can you find historical intraday data for this?

Try clicking and dragging on the bottom legend of the chart to expand or shrink it.

There are archives of daily intraday Futures charts for Ensign here:

It would be nice to have intraday charts for months instead of just a few days at a time. Write to Ensign and ask them for that.

I've asked Ensign to make a public forum on their web site where users could exchange information. For now I've made my own forum on Yahoo:

IQFeed is compatible with Ensign and it should allow you to access 120 days of X Minute Intraday data. You can take a 7 day trial of IQFeed to see how Ensign looks with multiple days.

that's odd, since ensign used to have a yahoo group a couple of years ago. i stopped using them around then, so i wonder what happened to their yahoo group.
