No, I didn't. I actually agreed with the first portion of your post. And then you went and made a snarky comment about how Republicans are the party that thinks soda taxes are bad - and you did so as part of an (incorrect) assumption that this is because Republicans believe soda is good for you (as evidenced by your follow up comment regarding pizza sauce being a vegetable). But that's not why they are against soda taxes at all.

The point is corporate money would eventually corrupt what goes in those boxes, much like you can use corporate money to corrupt the argument of sugary drinks increasing health care costs into an "attack on personal responsibility"

"FOOD STAMPS -$10"

In North Carolina the EBT cards food stamp recipients use to pay are distinctly colored. If you get a glance at the EBT card in the credit/debt card machine it is easy to tell. Most also have "Benefit Security Card" in big letters in the upper right.
