end of day swing trading(ES)

so, what's going to happen to the stock market during trump presidency?
I'm pessimistic. I think we may see 20-30% drop in his 3rd or 4th year.(i.e. bear market)
That's bad news for trend followers like me.

Trend following on the short side is much more difficult than long side.
I don't know why, but market price movement is very tricky.

It's just a guess, right now, I am hoping that ES will print new high sooner than later.
 
One reason I am positive that ES will print new high is that YM already did it.
It's extremely rare that only YM prints new high but not ES or NQ on a major market top.

maybe NQ won't reach new high anytime soon, but at least ES will.
 
One thing is for certain there's still a lot of uncertainty going forward with Trump in whitehouse. Expect a lot of volatility which is not necessarily a bad thing (if you are on right side):)
 
Overnight action in ES is a classic example of running the stop orders.

Those who shorted and had stop order right above previous high(2184.25) got stopped out.
Those negative P&L is someone else's Positive P&L

Stop orders create a situation where it makes sense to collude among big market participant.
I am not saying they are text messaging or making a phone call with each other.
It creates aligned interest among them especially in a thin market.

so, if you have to place a stop order, then write down on a paper. Don't place it on the server.

What I understand is this is trading journals and Imo do you understand ? For real people to post real trading journals. ie real trades to see the process of what its like doing the activity of trading and what results from said activity. Right now imo your distracting from people whom are actually doing it . I dont even wanna see paper trading journals.This is just my opinion .
