For your trader friend dealing with emotional carryover between trades, he might benefit from mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques. These practices help in developing an awareness of the present moment and can aid in breaking the cycle of emotional reaction from one trade to the next. Additionally, cognitive-behavioral techniques that focus on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors could be useful. He could also explore structured debriefing after each trade, where he analyses the trade objectively, records any lessons, and then engages in a mental reset before considering a new trade.i got a friend, also a trader, mainly in CL futures. He is essentially profitable, but he has a handicap. He trades one trade a day and 3,6 out of 5 days they end up in winning days, as his statistics say. If he trades more then 1 trade a day, lets say 2 trades, his losing rate would be significantly higher as he is emotionally not free from the last trade and therefore unable to reset between the 2 trades which leads to doing bad analysis.
Do you know any techniques or trainings for him to emotionally reset after a trade? Mine would not help him.
