about 75% of all volume is done in the E-MINI.
I think he was just thinking of contract volume. In terms of dollar volume the pit is about 75% of the Emini. In terms of open interest, the SP has about 6X as much dollar value than the Emini. This reinforces the idea that the Emini is about short term speculation and the SP is about longer term positioning.
