Emini Russell worth 100 bucks?

Checking out the emini, it looks like a one point move would be worth $100.00 per contract. The thing seems to trade in
tenths, each tenth worth $10 bucks.
Do I have this correct?

This thing moves around fast. It moves one point/$100 with ease. Also the volume is picking up over time.

My favorite contract.

I like this as a buy on breaks of pivots.

A little trickier to trade shorts, as the thinness can whip you around, and as you know, a falling market trades different than a rising market. So I use NQ or EMD to short.

The question is, why is this emini worth so much for each tick?
I think the Mafia is running this one...

that depends on your daytrading margin...but if you really suspect the M-Boys driving this, then better be prepared...

Well, it has a contract value of 58,700 right now, ES has a contract value of about 56k right. ES tick is 12.50, this is 10 bucks. I dont see the difference.

Then don't trade it.

If it's too volatile for your taste, trade something else. Complaining about it won't change the contract specs or what a tick's worth. It is what it is. Live with it or avoid it.
