emini fees

Try futurepathtrading. They're more of a boutique firm and not well known. (And their website sucks). But, given what you're looking for they may be a match for you. Their platform is faster than TT's, they've got an API, hosting servers for large blackbox operations etc. Rates are as good as anyone else's and, most important to me, they answer the darn phone on the first or second ring in an emergency. They can do this because they only take a certain volume/caliber of customer. From what I can tell, their business model is to cater to higher volume customers so they have less customers with top-notch service. If you trade 100 round turns per month, they're probably not for you. But given the numbers you're quoting its worth talking to them. They'll bend over backwards to accomodate whatever type of requirements you have.

You can PM me for the phone number of the president of the company or you can probably pick up their general phone number on the website.

Quote from man:

1200 was just eminis. in total we traded 17000 roundturns in may. i am going back and forth with the people who currently organise everything on the execution and accounting side. their argument is that with a normal discount broker you are quickly left in the rain when times get rough. are you filled or not, is the connection still valid, that kind of thing.

i am a small fish, no idea what the real scalpers are paying who do real size ... well what ever real size might mean for a scalper, but u see my point.

i am not so sure about IB, good critics here on the board, but i doubt it is a shop where the pros are heading ... at least i think so. this summer i want the order routing set up. so far there is has always been someone doing some part manually. was good for slippage, but it's getting too burdensome with too many trades. but if i do order routing i want to start with a shop i can stay with. do not like too many experiments on that side.

I have been using the NinjaTrader platform with TT feed through VCap Futures for a few days, and I am in the process of moving accounts over to them from Transact. I wanted a great data feed with an easy to use platform for all my brackets trades that I do - Trademaven was just not working for me anymore.

It took me about one hour to learn all the features that I generally use for my bracket trading with the NT platform. Now I feel very comfortable with all aspects of the platform for what I do and I have been impressed with the feed - excellent speed.

Also be aware that NT has a cool FIFO optimization capability - check it out.

"FIFO (First In First Out) Management

Limit orders are filled according to a principle called FIFO. This means orders ahead of you in the queue get filled first. Whenever possible, NinjaTrader will preserve your limit orders position in the queue. Increase the size of an order, NinjaTrader will simply submit an additional order for the difference in size which results in two orders. NinjaTrader’s order entry displays provide you with a consolidated view of all orders resting at the same price. When reducing the size of an order, NinjaTrader will amend or cancel the newest orders first. This may sound straightforward and obvious but it’s not, and only NinjaTrader gives you this trading edge."

Quote from scalper21:

Did you ever think about leasing a seat? An IOM(trade ES and NQ) seat rents for roughly $800. A GEM(ER2) is renting for $200-$300 This would reduce your clearing fees from 1.7 a round turn to .42(plus $50 a day in globex fee cap per day maximum) a round turn. You would save roughly $1000-$2000 a month in clearing fees!!!

Your commissions could be lowered to .20 to .50 a round turn. PM me and I could suggest how to find a clearing firm with good commission rates.

I thought about it. Would like more info on it.
