Russian stock market is a joke, tells you a lot about the culture, it's been closed at least 10 days since the beginning of the crisis.


Russia and Brazil should abandon the idea of a local stock market, they're not grounded.

KGB mentality is still there.

When problems arise, hide the problems, silencing anyone.
A stark contrast to the American mentality of solving problems (or at least trying to).

I partly agree with you. However Russian market is very susceptible to various bad news and if that bad information hadn't been hidden I don't really know how the market would have reacted to it. I think the current prices would have been much lower in that case.
