Email retention

Does one really need an email archiving system? Or is a backup of your PST good enough for a legal entity.

Are there any really good outsource companies to look at in the financial services space for this type of service?

I checked on these companies yesterday:

SMARSH
LIVE OFFICE
SIMPLICATO
GLOBAL RELAY

They all seem to be the around the same area in pricing and services. Although I seem to get a live person Simplicato everytime I called. While the others were hit and miss. Doesn't appear to be much of a difference.

Anyone have any experience with any of these or other comapnies.
