I'm reasonably familiar with Chinese business thinking, in Australia we do lots of business with China, I have followed China business for many years.

When Musk decided to run factories in China, I knew right away he had fucked up big time, Musk went into China blind, clueless, ignorant.
 
I thought he was for all EV adoption, Chinese or whatever.

Maybe he should cash out of Tesla and buy, I dunno, Insta?

Well thanks to his wonderful and generous technology transfer efforts by setting up shop in China. Now he manages to destroy not just his own Tesla but all brands of EV's all around the world. Thanks a lot, Elon!!
 
Tesla are competing in China well. The model Y is the most expensive best selling car in the world ever.

There roadmap looks good. Compact with 48v architecture and steer by wire. Probably a new model 3/Y with 48v architecture and steer by wire.

I will buy a model Y this year after the refresh as I think I am too tall for the compact and model 3. Wondering if there is enough room in my single garage to get to the charging port at the back.
