Heard that the way to get Musk to follow through on purchase is to ban him from Twitter and which in turn would mean Tesla losing its main advertising platform.

So either he buys or he has to find another way to advertise cheeeeeeeeeaply (as in free) with as large of an advertising audience reach. Ain't none.
