So massively improving Electric Vehicles for all, due to no patents on his tech and re using rockets and massively reducing space travel costs and likely other projects on the go, aren't worth anything.

TESLA roadster tech was developed by an electric hotrod shop out of Cali. Dude then pushed out the founders and rewrote history to take the claim he was one of them while settling so they wouldn't speak the truth. Rocket tech remains essentially the same, though I'll give him credit for suing the government and sticking it to defense contractors when it comes to bidding.

I remain skeptical about the savings in reusing rocket stages, but the theory is sound. I welcome the added competition to bring cost down when it comes to launching cargo however.
