Ellison and Wang charged too

Kevin, is leveraged to the hilt and deep underwater (margin calls) . He hardly has a penny of free cash flow. I heard last that Kevin is pimping himself out somewhere in Ontario to make the margin calls...

Apparently they let him out on partial bail:

"He's not bailing himself out of jail
His Stanford Law professor parents and two other individuals, who have not been named, are expected to fulfil the bail"

Who the hell put up 200+MM for his bail? Kevin???

There is nothing more that those white collar crooks fear than long prison sentences. Nothing. I can't agree more with you. Without prison sentences we would probably have 10x the number white collar crooks on the street.

They should be in prison for the duration. Not outside of it. At least not for a good long while. We'll deal with rehabilitation later. In the meantime, they can be put to work in the pen.

I bet the real cash loss is less than 5B. Just because they created FTT tokens and that was over I dunno, 40 bucks, that is not an actual loss, when now it is below a dollar. The same with their coins input. If they were credited with 1B Tether, those could have no backing whatsoever, so losing it should count as zero loss.

"The SEC has started with the easier number: It accused Bankman-Fried of defrauding investors of $1.8 billion, which is what it says FTX raised from equity investors. "

"The balance sheet first published by the Financial Times showed that it had more than $5.2 billion of real dollars and euros recorded as liabilities. Crypto assets are recorded at about $16.5 billion worth at October prices on the same balance sheet."

They can go after the fraud related to the funds invested within their jurisdiction... hence the 1.8B in VCAP.

What I find really interesting here, is I thought Wang didn't actually exist. Wasn't he the guy that no one could even find any trace of this person existing, aside from a photo (back only) of a man that was supposed to be this Wang person?

Now... the fact that he actually exists, generally, means the person is using an alias and has a prior history of fraud behind him.

Let's see now...

I would like to see their mug shots. Unfortunately, a mug shot of a person arrested for a "white collar crime" is typically not available in comparison to someone that was arrested for car theft, home burglary, assault, murder et cetera.

Yet, I think this situation has enough publicity that mug shots (Ellison, Wang) should be made available to the public. :D

FortuneTeller, the hypocritical Christian who sprew venom continuously, should be subjected to such treatment.

There has been a lot of them lately here at ET that have been constantly attacking others including creating threads about people in the news because they assume those people are not Christians or not religious when in fact those people they've been attacking are Christians or religious.
  • It's not a Christian behavior and that unchristian online behavior makes you wonder if they're like that in person too.
They then become mad when someone calls them out for their hypocritical behavior under the facade that it is in the Community Lounge section (e.g. Political threads, Religious threads). Thus, they think it's OK to be like that in those thread sections of the forum.

I didn't even realize this was occurring until a few people called them out by their username to let them know that type of unchristian-like behavior has been noticed by many members here at ET.

I then connected the dots to my own past interaction with them to come to the conclusion there's a pattern in their online behavior. Most of it in a nutshell is about politics although they want you to now see them as exercising their religious beliefs.

Just as strange, their unchristian-like behavior seems to have picked up going into Christmas or as in the month of December. Strange timing too...maybe it's because some key Republicans or a Republican in their state did not win in the November mid-terms ???

In addition, some of them have been temporarily banned at least once for making racist comments and then allowed back into the forum without them being required to make a public apology to the forum.

Maybe Baron should set up a "confession booth" for ET members to confess their online sins. :D

Rehabilitation...does that even exist in the U.S. prison system for "white collar criminals" ?

Studies have variously noted that these offenders use neutralization techniques to deny responsibility for their actions, minimize the seriousness of their criminal behavior, and use other distorted thought processes. They have also been found to be more aggressive and reckless than non-offenders. Although the social and psychological causes of their crimes are not clearly understood, therapists are still being asked to provide rehabilitation services.

Maybe that REHAB they will need is a drug rehabilitation ???

Since the much-publicized collapse of FTX, rumors of amphetamine use by SBF's inner circle have run wild. SBF had himself admitted in a podcast interview in October 2020 to experimenting with Adderall and other amphetamines. He said nootropics or brain-boosting drugs can be life-changing, though the effects for most aren't much different than coffee.

Caroline Ellison has similar views about drug use...

I'd like to ask Caroline, since she's such a smart girl/nymph/thing, why has millions of years of evolution simply not just made up for the lack of amphetamine?
