fyi. anti-intellectual-ism is rife among the Alternative Right Wing in American Politics. You should feel right at home.
fake intellectualism is the mo·dus op·e·ran·di of the left.
they take politically motivated speakers and pretend they are intellectuals.
Then when we explain that their intellectual is promoting fake science.
(for instance there is no peer reviewed science showing man made co2 causes warming... and very few scientists state man made co2 is causing significant warming yet... lefties pretend they are on the side of intellectuals when they are really on the side... of the big lie.

Speaking of folks with only academic experience.
If that's intended for me, you're wrong.
But let's be honest. Those who at some point in their careers were academics are well represented among those most respected in these forums by the participants on all sides. I believe there is a logical reason for that.

Alright, I'm willing to admit I am wrong if proven so. Please provide a short sample of your resume' (with specific company names omitted for anonymity sake, of course) and your duties performed/positions held. I'd like to understand your real world, economic experiences. You may PM me if you wish instead of posting here.
I've done it already. It's is out there in the forum ether. I'm not inclined to repeat. Its fairly long. But i will suggest that in the sciences in acdemic instituions, at least the PhD granting ones, the P.I.s are resposible for managing large accounts. Sometimes very large accounts.
