I guess BIG is a matter of relativity. So, if one is contented with 20% APR, and decides to put all his savings into doing it, is he gambling?

What say you?:)

I'm not really here answering questions, but I'll try this time: it's riskier than a bank Cd, but less risky than real trading. Overall, though, if you pick your pairs well, it's a shoe in.

I got a slight ahh hah effect from the "cross averaging" comment.

If they are independent and do not cycle together, then there will be instances that it would be hard not to align.

So the "gambling meter" needs to be low enough to sustain any historical cycle imaginable...

Sympatico,

You place yourself as an authority on the system you "think" Electric is trading..

You do not even understand what system Elecric is trading let alone how to trade....First understand what you are talking about, then contribute.

Thank you

Wifey

First, you're not my wifey, so you can keep your little tone in check.

Second, who knows what ES and you are constantly babbling about. But you call it "Cash & Carry" and seeking leveraged interest bearing pairs. There's nothing really to understand. You can put all the little stats you want on it, but it's still just leveraged carry trades. You might use terms like 'averaging down', which I may call 'fed-banking it back to the curb', but it's no bowl of big beans.

And what does this have to do with Cash & Carry?

I dismissed pool trading months ago..as it requires too much labor. I have a solution for the future to trade it, but it requires a commitment that I am not willing to take at this time.

AGAIN WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH CASH & CARRY>>> COME OUT WITH IT SYMPATICO?

Quote from Sympatico:

What must be noted is The E-Savant took to hounding me and begging me for advice on Oanda's forums and when I FINALLY said he was getting too demanding, he took a hissy-fit. He still trolls a little, but no one pays attention to him.

Mods - please delete the above post. It is annoying me! :D

Quote from Sympatico:

I'm sorry to read so many of you are collapsing. This, I think, is proof positive my trading strategy cannot be taught except perhaps to a select few conceptually oriented thinkers.

how could anyone possibly succeed from your "strategy" when you have never explained it beyond anything generalized, (you have not even disclosed something simple like the grid size itself), and then you also admit many times there are discretionary trader elements to it?

You see Folks.

This is what it is.

Sympatico is trying to squlech the Volatility Grabber. As it a Valid method of Trading and is profitable. In the beginning of this Journal it was discussed. I have discovered how to trade it, perhaps better than Sympatico can imagine and maybe I am.

But it is my choice to discuss it publically. I do not need to be cryptic to satisfy my ego and speak in tongues..lol. I choose not to discuss it publically and I do not need to connotate otherwise. But I promise you Sympatico, I WILL. The current project I am sharing is a study that is interesting to me, but you can look forward to the day Sympatico, when I find that the Volatility Grabber will be revisited and shared pubically, and your security will be compromised. (I can guarantee you, I do not trade it like you)

If he can get me to close this Journal and make a new one discussing Cash & Carry, he would be happy.

He thinks he has everybody fooled at Oanda, and I am the only wild card left. He does not know what I know and well he is frustrated.

Therefore, in the spirit of good positive Trading, I will start a new Journal named Cash & Carry and discontinue all posts to this Journal other than the forwarding information. So folks, if you wish to migrate your are very welcome. Let's Let this Journal die and the knowledge within it become a distant memory
