Reminds me of when I belonged to the Marketocracy website. It was the stock picking version of Elite Trader. It was mainly for future fund manager types. I remember the top performers on that site went on to work for some prominent value fund managers. I think one of them went on work for Barchart writing technical analysis articles.
It was active from 2003-2013. I remember the top performer had something like a 70-80% yearly performance from 2003-2011. His strategy was buying deep value small cap turnaround stories.
