Auto workers risk seeing their woes worsen as the industry shifts to high-tech vehicles powered by advanced batteries and chips, the union’s research director, Jennifer Kelly, said during a hearing Thursday in Washington. (Transport Topics)

A friend is returning to a project converting a replica classic Porsche in Colombia. Piece of piss to do and with a gas range extender it is very practical. I may do the same myself. I can see cars moving back to much more like their early days of coach building where the car can be made in any country on a few standard safety frames.

I've been looking at a piece of land that is beautiful but a bitch to access with an eye to a light cargo drone pod (~20KG) initially for supplies, possibly electric VTOL in a few years. In the Andes something like this is perfect, change getting downtown from 2 hours to 12 minutes.

The union stopped short endorsing new tariffs. Instead, Kelly called for “targeted” actions to encourage additional investments in U.S. manufacturing. In her prepared remarks, she said better access to education, workforce training and infrastructure investment would aid that effort.
We don't need any stinking workforce training and infrastructure. We need more kids going to college taking political science and gender neutral studies. That's important.:banghead:
