I have to disagree. Most of technical trading is about knowing how to think, what the best practices are and finally what has blown people up. That type of stuff can only be learned via an apprenticeship (and no, books are mostly garbage). Because of this required foundation, where you started and who your mentors were matters more than all the hard work in the world.What brought you to the table is a different conversation than learning how to be a profitable trader. Can’t argue with the situation you are born into is luck, finding and exploiting repeatable patterns and practicing self discipline is not.
