As usual, the media (and the NPCs like yourself that carry their water) are misquoting this.
Trump never praised Maduro. What he said was that Maduro had released all of their criminals, who then subsequently crossed central America and over our border to become our problem, and as a result, Caracas is now very safe. Hyperbole, certainly. It will remain to be seen if the murder rate there drops (as all of the data is as of 2022 or earlier).
Bullshit of the highest order, and par for the course with NPCs.
Let's take a look at what Trump stated as he kissed up to a dictator -
"If you look at Caracas, it was known for being a very dangerous city, and now it’s very safe. In fact, the next interview we’ll do we’ll do it in Caracas, Venezuela, because it’s safer than many of our cities."
Caracas has a murder rate is 90 per 100,000 in the city and surrounding suburbs -- and we will note that murder is under-reported in Venezuela. The major city with the highest murder rate in the U.S. is St. Louis, MO with 69.4 per 100,000 followed by Baltimore MD with 51.1 per 100,000.
Obviously Caracas is not very safe now. I would urge Trump to go to Caracas because he would probably never leave Venezuela after the trip.
Again, the man states "facts" all the time that aren't true. But that doesn't mean he was praising Maduro, like the article (and you) claimed.
