The whole plan was to get Biden across the finish line. He would resign after a few months, and Kamala becomes Pres. But they know she probably can't get elected on her own. IMO, this is why they have tried so hard stay with Biden. Even with the MSM media covering, they couldn't keep Biden's real cognitive decline a secret for long.
Harris is just line Mike Pence, Dan Quayle, Bob Dole. Unelectable for top slot, but satisfactory for 2nd.

Nevertheless, it has it's limits. Particularly on the 4th of July weekend when all Americans - unless they are democrats- are called to properly remember the origins of our country- warts and all but no lefty revisionist crap.
I refer to various letters from congressmen and letters editors from dems calling on Joe to "be like George Washington and step down or withdraw" versus being like Lyndon Johnson or Harry Truman and withdrawing from the race.

First, George Washington was never a young dimwit as Biden was, and thus was never an older dimwit as Biden is. Washington had a long, long history of illustrious and gallant public service for decades before he even became president. He voluntarily chose to not run again after having VERY SUCCESSFULLY AND AWESOMELY completed two full terms as president. He died three years after leaving office from some kind of sore throat- probably strep- not from long physical and mental decline. Biden is being driven out of office, it can never be seen as otherwise. No comparison with George Washington.
Biden is properly compared with Johnson and Truman. Both of whom were driven out of office. And it is worth noting that even though they dropped out their parties still lost. Something for dems to think about.
To paraphrase/botch Lloyd Bentson's comments to Dan Quayle a bit: "Mr. President, I knew George Washington, I served with George Washington, and you, Mr. President are no George Washington."
