Some states say he coordinated with a PAC to get signatures. He says he needed signatures and they just went ahead and got some without his involvement. That type of thing.

So yes, in America wealth and home ownership go hand in hand. That is the way it is. There’s a discussion to be had around home size and home building in general. Builders tend to build bigger residential homes now of days and starter homes tend to be the older homes on the market.
As to expense. Americans can afford a rather large home by and large based on income, it’s the interest rates making homes expensive right now.
But yes, an asset such as a home with equity is excellent sustainable wealth. Nothing wrong with that.
