Other Democrats doing way better than Biden.I know they're wishing they didn't have to be on the same ticket with the worst president ever.

Bidens approval ratings with Blacks was 90% when he took office.

Bidens approval ratings with Blacks was 58% in March 2023

Bidens approval ratings with Blacks now 43%

Considering Obama was much more popular than Biden and with higher approval and favorbility ratings and still needed the highest Black turnout ever to win Joe is in trouble

As mentioned in the other thread, totally on brand for Trump. Massive disinterest in brand marriage with anything Trump. Losing money isn’t a big deal in tech companies as long as revenue is strong a turnaround can happen. Truth social has null revenue though. It is a dog.

What Trump needs is a cable television network. His people watch tv religiously.

Who do you think Trump will pick as VP? Scott?

Scott has to be the leading candidate. He’s about to marry a woman so it looks like he is ramping up for the position. What’s sad is Lindsay Graham is going to lose his “best friend.”

Who do you think Trump will pick as VP? Scott?

As I said a while ago, I don't think Trump would pick Haley. Not because they have had rough spots but because Trump values loyalty and obsequiousness foremost. Which would put Tim Scott at the top of list. And Trump thinks it is an easy shot at upping the black vote.

Having said that, there are forces around him that want Rubio or Desantis because they are better campaigners and have more gravitas for the VP position than Tim does. Plus Rubio brings some hispanics along with him. Not all, but some.

Yep, I get the constitutional issue with the VP and the prez being from the same state but Trump could switch his residence back to NY in a heartbeat just for the election. Not that hard.

I don't give Kristi Noem, Ben Carson, Tulsi Gabbard and that kind of banter much weight. I mean Trump will say great things about them to keep them continuing to say great things about him but they can't deliver. Also, this Kamala Harris trainwreck has been quite a lesson for the country ie. you can play with the VP position a little bit, but don't do something outright stupid.

Melania wants Elaine Stefanik, so Trump has to deal with that. He likes her too but his campaign strategists can't make her fit. The keeping Melania happy aspect is problematic a bit and Trump owes Melania a bit for putting up with his behavior. I don't see her as VP though and she can't deliver NY and is not in a swing state. But I acknowledge that she is in the mix.

Tim is definitely the odds on favorites though. But I don't see it.

Biden has to play in a lot of second tier states this cycle due to his polling. NC is definitely at the top of that list followed by, yes, Florida and Texas. I kind of doubt he will put resources in Texas though but expect a real effort in Florida. He has no choice with both plan A and plan B for the electoral college both being less than a 50% likelihood he will need more paths that could deliver 270.

Trump, on the other hand, will be playing a tighter electoral strategy. I’d expect team Trump to eventually get around to realizing their clearest path lies in the southwest.

Yup. “Battleground Florida” in effect. If you’re team Trump this is probably the worst electoral news you could have gotten. Having to defend Florida being cash strapped is bad news.
