It’s weird to digest these numbers but it looks like the mainstream is starting to take note of this younger voter shift that keeps showing up in more and more polls.

What do we call this cohort, the “MAGA Youth?” IDK.

For Team Trump, you like these numbers and they’re probably thinking just stay the course. Not that Trump would change course anyway…

But Team Biden has to be perplexed with the young voters response. Personally, I say believe the polls, but this is kind of a stretch.

Yougov/Economist deep dive here.

1. this poll shows more of what would be expected from the American electorate based on recent elections compared to what we have been seeing in terms of inverting younger voter and +65 preferences. Nationally a neck and neck race. Which means Trump has the inside track on Biden on the electoral college.

2. Economy and immigration are at the top of the list.

3. the youngest voters are sour on just about everything. It’s hard to blame millennials they have gotten the shittiest domestic hand of the last 4 generations.

4. no one is optimistic about the economy but interestingly black and Hispanic voters are the least pessimistic.

Like I said this is a good deep dive.
