What a mess. Israel destroys gaza and biden feels he needs to supply and rebuild gaza to elected.

One reason they would want Gavin Newsom is the electoral votes of California. Not sure of the number but, it probably is atleast, 50 and possibly that much higher. Extreme liberal progressives will all come out and vote for him. Some Democrats, around 20% of them in polls have already said they will vote for President Donald Trump. If that is accurate, Joe Biden might have a hard time winning even in California.

One of the outside the box scenarios that has been raised is the possibility that the dem convention will nominate and confirm Joe for president but will not confirm Kamala, or that they give her that message backchannel so that she can step down. In that way Joe dumps Kamala without taking the blame for it, and the dems are able to show that they have a viable plan if something happens to Joe now because he will pick Newsom as his new VP.

I am not saying I see that happening. I am saying that discussion will circulate. It's actually not a bad plan for what they have to work with. It require the dem handlers to be strategic and show some balls though so I dont see it happening. I could see a variation of that plan those whereby pressure is put on Kamala to step down and if she says no let her know that there will be an unavoidable floor fight.

Yeh, the unpretty times are upon us/them.

Can you imagine Newsom being the nominee and rolling into SC as a whitey-tighty cracker metrosexual dandy to replace Jim Clyburn's historice "of color" pick to succeed Biden, which is the only reason he backed Biden? Yeh, that would be one frosty reception.

Do they replace Biden last minute in some circus act?
Do they rely on Trump not being able to win through legal means?
If that actually works, and Trump is removed, CAN the GOP legally put someone else forward without a primary?

I have know idea what they are planning.It is beyond stupid to stick with Biden but other than convincing Obama to run every other option is just as bad at this point imo.
