Without refuting any of that, I think that Joe is somewhat sincere when he argues that, unless you are a progressive, it is increasingly hard for any dem to find their way home to the party these days. Those differences are real for many dems now.
Example, yesterday the House reversed Biden's ban on exporting LNG. The Senate may kill it, but either way, Biden says he will veto it. Manchin will not be on board with that. That is the nutty dem party that Manchin does not like and Manchin is closer to Americans than Democrats on those issues.
I don’t think the American people are against banning the sale of energy on the international market. I bet dollars to donuts if the question were laid out to the American people they would choose to keep all energy sources developed domestically in America. This goes with the argument America should be energy independent.
.
The export of gas has been contingent on it being surplus to domestic demand. Thus, we have been able to supply Europe rather than having our allies dependent on Russia or freezing to death. This too Americans support.
Alaska for example, is experiencing an expect critical shortage of LNG starting next year and getting some this year already, even though they have a vast, vast gas field in the north slope that requires a pipeline. The only way they can develop the field and pipeline is to enter into contracts with Asian country's for future purchase which becomes a financing mechanism that helps to get gas for Americans, including lower 48, as well. This is not a game for binary thinkers.
And yes, Americans support energy independence. That is why Biden is driving so many over to Trump. It gets complicated with oil because you drive prices down by putting more oil in general on the world spot market so it is kind of round about and requires just pumping more. So if you are advocating keeping all American oil at home for Americans, that can be talked about. Didn't know you had gone full MAGA. Although full MAGA is actually just drill baby drill, and satisfy everyone, domestic and foreign. You know income from exports can be an American thing too. We dont have to send every dollar to China although we know Biden is trying.
Trump has 30 days to figure out how to bond $350m. This is inline with “there is only so long you can pretend.” Months turn into weeks, weeks into days, days into hours… tic tok.

With that said, few will remember but it was actually that “moron bimbo” Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and her team that first brought this issue up at a House Congressional hearing with Michael Cohen and it snowballed from there. Funny how that works out. Laugh now, cry later.
#NeverForget:
So I’m not trying to argue the position of Biden just make the point that policy positions can be subjective based on how it is framed.
