Election 2024 Foreplay

Just showing that the Democrats are closer to Nazis than Trump will ever be. --And with the attempt to take away Americans right to vote for or against someone, they are closer to dictatorial, just like with The Kung Flu restrictions. The Democrats are projectionists.
Kung-Flu aside, my opinion on that is we were in uncharted waters to a great extent, and knee jerk over-reactions are sure to manifest themselves when managing a country of 300MM people. That was inevitable. We learn and move on.

But other than that, I agree with your points, albeit this use of a "nazi" comparative by both sides is getting a little wearied and worn. We're not even close. The fact that media has the balls to compare Trump to Hitler however... is f'ing off the charts bs and folks that feed the fire and repeat it in forums like this and in their own circles, aren't Nazi's... they're the sheep that the Nazi's programed.

I have made the point before that much that is going on with Trump's support- despite the flaws and outrageous stuff- can be summarized by the fact that the country has moved another level down on the Maslow Need Hierarchy. I know that gets dismissed by some because it sounds academically fluffy but it describes the whole situation in toto.

The concerns of voters now are well down into the SAFETY AND SECURITY rung of the ladder. And headed lower. (see chart below).

If you are Asian or Jewish, you just hope the dems don't kill you or harass your elderly parents or young children.

If you have young children, you hope they are not killed in a driveby shooting on the way to or from school and that the teachers are not secretly working with them on how to cut their private parts off so that "they can be who they were meant to be."

And you hope that the government does not have a plan to house migrants in their school or to move you out of your house and give it to MS-13 members in order to compensate for past colonialism.

I, however, would spend zero time trying to challenge the views of MSNBC types with facts. That just does not work. As George Bernard Shaw said: "Never wrestle in the mud with pigs because you will both get dirty and the pigs like it."

Not a lot of self-actualizing, increasing esteem, and love and belonging going on these days.
People are just hoping they can survive and the whole country is wall to wall with hate and division. That situation at the southern border is Ghengis Khan level. I have issues with Trump but am not going to be worrying about whether he lied about Stormy's bra size.

Tree... and I'm dead serious about this, and I'll do the work to expound upon the various points... but I want to write out a list of indisputable FACTS... that I can draw upon at social functions to shut some of these dyed in the wool, "hate Trump at any and all cost", MSNBC parrots the f up. I get sick of hearing all this bs.

I mean I have said it here before, Trump is what he is, narcissistic, self centered, a buddy f'r, etc etc. He would fire me before lunch on day one if I worked for him. Or I'd quit. One or the other. But I get so sick of this non-stop bashing. His policies worked, and between him having to battle off a never ending media assault for four years, and then the onslaught of Covid in the last year and all that entailed, I think he did a great job. Is he a jerk? Yes. But did he run the country well? Yes.

All of this racial division, and a dozen other "divisions" ... there is ZERO doubt in my mind it is all fueled by the media. Linear television, social media, the legacy networks... I mean THEY are the ones that are fueling all this and ruining this country. Talk about Nazi-ism... these brain washing tactics have been around forever, and they are straight out of Goebbels's play book.

I just get fed up, and mad at myself actually, because I don't have a bulletized list of facts committed to my brain that I can use to put some of these people in their place, with the confidence of knowing that I am 100% correct.

I have the laptop letter, the Russian collusion, the Afghanistan withdrawal, Trump's "right to try", domestic energy policy, NATO members finally paying more of their fair share... but none of it works. It's ridiculous. I want to be able to silence a room with an oration that would make the best criminal defense attorneys smile and give me a thumbsup... because these people... family too... piss me off. All they know is what they hear on Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, or "The View". And trust me, I'm about a million miles from being some FOX acolyte. (Hannity is annoying and repeats things over and over and over... his take on the Goebbels strategy, Waters is a self-rightous egotistical know it all, Bret Baier is ok, and I respect Ingraham's opinions on some things, Gutfeld is witty af, but his calling is stand up comedy, not the news.)

These people can have their opinions, and they can hate Trump all they want, more power to them, but facts are facts, and I need a list where I can read it and say "case closed".

Honest question... are you looking for facts to show something good happening in the economy, for example, during trumps term to use as a fact to s how trump's policies worked? what kind of facts are you looking for because remember a "fact" you might be citing is just a campaign slogan any candidate uses to sway uninformed voters....

there are no facts out there because a president is a figure head in most cases... if trump is the reason the stock market went up, why isnt Biden the reason the stock market went up? see what I mean....

Yeah spot-on. And that's why I've learned to not engage, because those types of arguments can draw divides in friendships very easily, especially when people have been imbibing and in the heat of battle, the wrong words slip out. It's just that I want to---> soooo badly.

I predict this summer, we are going to see a rash of low level, ie breaking and entering type stuff, somewhat organized, but on a more street level basis, by many of these young men that have come here illegally, are broke, and want more.

A friends kid got a real high dollar drone for Xmas, not much bigger than a large frisbee, and what it can do is amazing. It can fly thru tree'd areas, self correcting as to avoid any collisions, it can fly at night literally undetected, it has cameras that also work at night, and the damn thing has a range of god knows how far, but it returns to base no problem and the cameras send back a high definition video stream of wherever it is he points them at. I mean it's kind of scary.

I thought to myself, holy cow, crooks (or peeping Toms) can just pull into any neighborhood, launch the damn thing, fly right up to peoples windows and case houses completely undetected. Even if you own a house set back on acreage where heretofore you never felt the need to pull your shades at night for privacy... pff... guess again. You mark my word, we're gonna be hearing about this type of thing in the not too distant future.

Be plenty of it at/outside the Dem convention in Chicago as well.

Let's see Trump's rallying cry to have his voters turn out... Donnie does not care if you die.

Trump sends sick supporters caucusing: 'If you vote and then pass away, it's worth it'
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-iowa-caucus-sick/

Former President Donald Trump told his supporters to attend Iowa caucuses even if it literally kills them.

During a Sunday speech in Iowa, Trump urged attendees to participate in a caucus for him on Monday.

"You can't sit home," the former president insisted. "If you're sick as a dog, you say, darling — even if you vote and then pass away, it's worth it. Remember, if you're sick, if you're just so sick, you can't, darling, I don't think..."

"Get up," Trump replies to himself from an imagined wife's point of view.

"Yes, darling," he remarked, "ultimately, we know who calls the shots."
