Then, in the article, Clyburn launches into a long, rambling recitation of the history of third parties in the U.S. Sorry, again, Jim but the dems are not going to listen to you this time and most likely other parties definitely are not going to either. Sorry about that. You are warning that they are going to fuck everything up for the dems, and most likely they are.

And then there is a guy name Joe Manchin running around. Dean Phillips too but he is a dem. He will just be a warm-up act to remind others why even the dems don't want Joe.

If I were Manchin, I definitely would not like the idea of some armchair matchmakers out there matching me up with Mitt Romney right from the get-go. Ain't nobody that wants that. Some of the clowns even talk about Romney in the top slot and Manchin in number two. Heh. Flaccid. Especially since it has been partially established that Manchin has already done a kissy-faced appearance with John Huntsman as part of a NO LABELS event.

Whatevah. Let em work it out on the playground. I just don't think you get good polling on some arrangement when you put up a tag team with Mitt Romney in the mix. And it drags Manchin down to even suggest that he and Romney are a good match. There is a small chance that I am biased and have no use for Romney when commenting. :cool:




To that end, there is already a Draft Romney Manchin Committee which filed with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday and is set to make an announcement, potentially next week, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The group reportedly will push for a Romney-Manchin unity ticket backed by the No Labels group, with the 2012 GOP nominee being at the top of the ticket.

I dunno. If he thought he would qualify for the next debate I doubt that he would have dropped out.

Not saying he was running for the long haul. Just that he was going to go as far as he could go for the visibility- possibly for VP- and he is pretty much as far as he is going to go.
